Mandates are Keys to Open Heaven's Doors

Your Destiny, Unlocking the Impossible Promises of God by Ivan and Isabel Allum
pg 202-203

Many years ago, I read a statement that Smith Wigglesworth made, which puzzled me deeply and caused me to search the heart of God for the answer. Someone asked Smith, "Why is it that every time you go anywhere something happens and power is always manifested?" Smith's answer was: " It is very simple. If the Spirit doesn't move, I move the Spirit." I had never heard anyone say anything like that before, but I figured that if he could do it then we can do it too, but how? There was no one teaching on this so we had to turn again to the Lord, so He could teach us. Jesus moved the Spirit, so we knew that there had to be a way and we began a search for the key to such a great mystery. God finally spoke and said, "Mandates are the keys to to open that door." It sounded so simple and yet so complicated to do at the same time. However, as with all things in the Kingdom, there is an easy way, because His yoke is easy and His burden light (Matthew 11:30)

The Lord said, "Smith Wigglesworth received a mandate from Me to do what he did. He was not doing it out of presumption, or on his own initiative. I gave him a mandate to do it. He believed me and acted on it. I wanted him to do it for Me and he became a manifestation of My ministry on earth. Because of his mandate, he had My unlimited authority to do what he did and, as a response, heaven opened up to produce all he needed and the Spirit moved to empower what he did. I told him to do it. He was obedient and became a great investment." Smith Wigglesworth had a personal mandate (commissioning-orders) from the Father to do what he did, and because of that, no one could stand in his way or stop him. God, heaven, and the Holy Spirit stood by him and backed him up all the way till the end. Therefore, understanding the power and importance of mandates makes a big difference but, it is up to us to respond. The Holy Spirit also wants to please the Father and make Him happy and, therefore, He would love to come and help us personally and through prophecies. So again, we must change the way in which we have viewed and/or received prophecies and pay attention, identify the mandates God gives us, and then obey them.

One of the problems with this is that people are waiting to see the manifestation (result/provision) before they step out to do what God told them to do. Many people, who have received a mandate to pray for the sick, are waiting for God to release healing power before they start praying. It does not work that way. We are not responsible for results as we cannot produce them. Our job is to obey and do what the Father says. One day, when we stand before the Father, He is not going to hold us accountable for the results, not at all, because results are His responsibilities. Our goal is that on that day, we will be found faithful before Him because we believed Him and did as He wished. He is not going to ask you, " How many miracles did you perform? How many people did you heal, or how many people did you save, etc?" Instead He will ask, " did you pray for the sick so I could heal them? Did you preach the gospel so I could save the people?" Many will say, " Well, Lord I was waiting for You to release healing in order to do it, but You did not release healing, so I could not pray for them. Or, I was waiting for revival to come in order to go and bring the people in, but..." No, results are His business, our job is to be obedient and open the doors for the results to manifest, just like Smith Wigglesworth and Kathryn Kuhlman.

We all have mandates, and heaven and the Holy Spirit are waiting for us to open those doors, to invest in the Kingdom, and bring in the dividends to the Father. As individulas, we have received many mandates from the Father, which we take seriously, and we act on them. Our church has also received mandates and has been obedient. Because of that, we have entered a great supernatural realm and are surrounded by miracles in our daily life. Angels have also become a part of our life, as they come to help us to do what the Father wants done. This is how miracles created, heaven opens up and Spirit comes to release power.
